Research and Community Service Vice Dean
The research and community service are the principal activities among the three pillars of higher education’s principles of learning and teaching. Research is a search of knowledge and a way to gather evidence for our practice that must be an integral part of our academic culture. Without vivid research activity on enigmatic issue which bring solutions to the welfare of the community, dynamism in education will inevitably fade.
Rehoboth Harme College organized the Research & Community Service office both in human resource and the respective imputes that facilitates research activity and community service. The office prepared research and publication guideline and established research committee and along with the committee, identified the thematic area. The thematic areas distributed to the departments in order to sensitize the academic staffs to involve in conducting research actively.
Call for research paper announcement yearly has been the college’s culture. As per the call, research and community service proposal will be selected and the two parties will sign terms of agreement before commencement.
The Rehoboth medical college hosted the first annual national research conference on “Excelling Health Care Research in the context of the Pandemic “on February 26,2022 in Asella, Ethiopia.
Regarding community service; Health education was given to a church and “Edir” union with two campaigns to improve knowledge, attitude and practice towards COVID 19 based on the finding of the research on assessment of public KAP towards COVID19.
